Ambev and cbc make an Alliance to develop the beverage and beer market in Peru

Lima, June 30 2015 – AmBev Peru and cbc made a strategic alliance to develop the beer, carbonated drinks and beverage markets in Peru.

AmBev Peru will focus in the beer business and will continue to operate the beer plant located in the Santa Maria de Huachuca District in Lima province.  They will be responsible for all the beers they have in Peru and future innovations.

cbc acquired the carbonated drinks plant located in Sullana, Piura and will be in charge of distributing the complete portfolio in the country, with the exception of some Premium beers that will continue under AmBev Peru.  The operation includes the incorporation to cbc of all the personnel in the commercial and industrial area in Sullana that today work for AmBev Peru.

AmBev´s experience in the beer market and cbc´s experience in the carbonated drinks and beverage markets will encourage investments, improve competition in the Peruvian market and will bring more and better options to the consumers and opportunities for the workers of both companies.

This agreement will consolidate the successful alliance that both companies have had in Central America and will contribute to the expansion of the beverage market in Peru.

AmBev Peru, together with cbc, designed a transition process that takes into account the normal observance of all labor and commercial agreements and that secures the success of this strategic association.
