cbc and the United Nations Population Fund want to improve infants and mothers health in two municipalities in Guatemala
cbc and the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA, subscribed a collaboration memorandum in order to contribute to women, female teenagers and girls human rights in the municipalities of Tecpan and Santa Apolonia in the department in Chimaltenango.
This activity confirms the commitment to strengthen the capacity of health services in the municipalities, providing equipment to bring high quality neonatal medical attention to mothers and contributing to implement actions in the “one thousand day window period”.
For UNFPA Guatemala and cbc, signing this memorandum is an example of the possibility to establish alliances that allow contributions for human rights to reach sustainable growth, according to the national and international legal frameworks and to the United Nations Global Compact principles, of which cbc is part of.
