cbc supports young entrepreneurs.
In cbc we support the talent and innovation of young entrepreneurs, especially those that work in projects to improve environmental management. That is why since 2013 we are part of the Innovation and Talent Contest of the Americas, known a TIC Americas, specifically with EcoReto Guatemala´s chapter.
The contest was organized by Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) (American States Organization) and PepsiCo and it took place in Antigua Guatemala with the presence of the American States Organization General Assembly and with the participation of the General Secretary, Mr. José Miguel Insulza.
Guatemala had four finalists that presented the following projects:
- Biodigestores
- Permacultural System
- Yo Soy Guardián (I Am A Guardian)
- EcoArte (EcoArt)
After a strict evaluation from national and international judges, the winner project was EcoArte. EcoArte´s objective is to create opportunities for local artisans to promote the sustainable production of products such as wallets, handbags, checkbooks wallets, document holders, etc., by using tetra-pack packaging as raw material.
In cbc we want to share that the Guatemalan chapter that rewards talent and innovation that provides solution to environmental problem, will continue every year and that we compromise that in a two year period we will developing this type of contests in other countries where cbc operates in Central America, The Caribbean and South America.
