A strategic alliance with the civil association ENLACE\u00a0 was made as part of the Food and Nutrition Security comprehensive program that cbc<\/strong> propels in the Santa Apolonia municipality in Chimaltenango.\u00a0 Its objective is to develop an educational program of family orientation and a parent\u2019s school, in order to bring teachers the proper tools to transcend in their teacher\u00b4s job by integrating parents in the responsibility of their children\u00b4s formation.<\/p>\n

Rosa Mar\u00eda de Frade, cbc Corporate Affairs Director, said:\u00a0 \u201cThrough this agreement, we promote the comprehensive formation, the school dropping out rate diminishes and team work between parents and teachers is motivated.\u201d<\/p>\n

This program is endorsed by the Education Ministry and has the support of Ms. Silvia Nu\u00f1ez, Education Supervisor of Santa Apolonia.<\/p>\n

Isabel Mir\u00f3n, Executive Director of ENLACE, said:\u00a0 \u201cWhen teachers act as leaders it generates a positive impact in parents and children.\u00a0 This close relationship encourages better school results and impacts positively in the community through education\u201d.<\/p>\n

Both entities share that education is fundamental for children to have better opportunities.\u00a0 This program will reach 24 teachers in Santa Apolonia.<\/p>\n
