In January, cbc – a partner of AmBev Central America that commercializes the brands Brahva, Budweiser, Stella Artois and Becks – took over the distribution of Corona beer in the El Salvador market.

Corona, produced in México by Modelo Group, is exported to more than 170 countries and is a leader brand in 50 markets and is present in 5 continents.  Corona looks to satisfy the taste of those consumers that want to refresh and relax.  Consumer acceptance since its launching in 1925 has put the brand among the 5 most valuable beer brands in the world.

Since February, import, marketing and distribution of Corona in El Salvador will be done through cbc / Ambev Central America, using best practices of distribution and commercialization.

David Froment, General Director at cbc El Salvador, said:  “We are proud to increase our portfolio with one of the most valuable beers in the world: Corona.  With cbc´s distribution and commercialization best practices, the Corona leadership in the imported beers segment is guaranteed”

José Luis González, General Director of AmBev Central America said:   “The distribution of Corona in the El Salvador market is the point of entrance to the Central American region.  We have faith that this initial project will grow fast.  The Mexican market is the second largest in America and now we will take its leader brand to El Salvador with our wide distribution network.  The consumer will have the Corona 355 ml bottle and the Coronita 207 ml bottle available.”
